Shaun Greaves qualified in 1992 from the London Hospital.
He had worked locally for the last 20 years, before joining the practice in 2012, on the retirement of Phillip Dowell. As well as working in general practice, he has a master’s degree in Periodontics (gums) and currently divides his time between Fleet and his general practice in Witley.
After qualifying at the London Hospital in 1992, Shaun spent a year in general practice. During that time he recognised that “gum disease” represented as large a threat to tooth loss as decay. Shaun’s interest in periodontics grew, and he then undertook a master’s degree (Msc) in periodontology at Guy’s Hospital to specialise in this important dental area.
Shaun is passionate about the preservation of teeth compromised by periodontal disease and welcomes the opportunity to discuss your need either as a referring Dentist or a potential patient.
Equally, Shaun really enjoys treating patients and families with general dental problems, and has done ever since he qualified. Shaun does this alongside periodontal treatment at the surgery in Witley. The practice at Fleet, however, is exclusively for referred patients who need treatment of gum disease.
All of Shaun’s patients are fully consulted and he will ensure that time is given to explain and discuss the treatment you need, outlining the various options. A written treatment plan and estimate is provided against the agreed treatment plan.
It is essential that patients who are referred for periodontal treatment continue to see their own dentist for regular dental care. Shaun will not be able to look after this aspect of your care, as it remains the responsibility of your own dentist.
